The RAV-M system, about the size of two set top boxes, allows you to control a set top box and see and hear what the headend operator is trying to describe when faced with a broadcast problem. Headends experience many minor transmission problems that are difficult to accurately describe over the phone. Being there or seeing the problem in person is often the only way to cure it resulting in experience and time-consuming service trips to headend locations. The RAV-M eliminates these nuisance visits.

The RAV-M includes a demodulator and connects by infrared to virtually any type of set top box and then interfaces with a DigiView A/V streaming box.

The station technician from any internet browser on the WAN or LAN selects the IP address of the RAV-M system at the desired location, and once on line, can view the video feed on his computer screen. The technician easily selects different channels through the key pad. The RAV-M system translates the operator’s simple screen clicks to change the headend channels. The station can see and hear picture and sound levels of any selected headend channel and make the appropriate adjustments. The problem is fixed instantaneously without costly and time-consuming trips to the headend.
